Who We Are

Jeremiah Smedra founded The OG Group in early 2026 with a vision to solve the critical need to deliver information & procedures to the point of work in power and industrial settings.  For most of his career he spent an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out how to improve operations, but never fully grasped the obvious – if it isn’t easy for the worker to access a procedure at the point of work, you can’t be repeatable or really improve.

From 2020 to 2025, Jeremiah led GE Vernova’s $100M+ LiveOutage lean global field services transformation. LiveOutage delivers procedures to the point of work on more than 400 gas turbine, steam turbine, and generator outages annually.

He is a husband, father, grandfather(!), and follower of Jesus Christ.

Our Values

You don't create culture with slogans or values statements.

Culture is the result of how you live and act:  it’s what you tolerate, what you expect, and what you do.
We are striving for a culture defined by:
  • Integrity
  • Excellence
  • Hard work
  • Accountability
  • Openness
  • Serving others

All things are made by the one God of the Bible and all things exist for Him and our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are accountable first and foremost to God.

We strive to pursue goals, make decisions, and treat others in a way that brings honor to His name.

Frequently Asked Questions

You are a software company. Why even talk about values?

Good question. Every organization manifests their values through decisions, actions, and behavior. Sometimes it’s the values of the owner, or the employees collectively, or even the shareholders.

Having been part of many organizations and business environments, we see the importance of being open about our values.

You could. . . Values, by definition, are moral at their core. And one could argue that all morals are ultimately defined by your religion – your deepest held beliefs about what is true.

So, you could scrub all religious references and talk about topics like honesty, humility, and love, but we believe there is a benefit in being transparent about where our values come from.

That’s perfectly acceptable. You are free to believe whatever you choose. We are called to love others regardless of what they believe.

Many employees and customers conjecture about what motivates an organization’s leadership. We value transparency.
